Anamorphosis

A human form is clinging/attached to the canvas “door”. Anamorphosis contains a wooden door-not visible in this photo-but directly behind the canvas. A steel frame connects the canvas to the door, and creates an interior space where a black form resides (visible in the top of this photo). The details show the human form close up, highlighting the qualities of skin, veins, sinew, and muscle that make up this body.

Materials: paper, metal mesh, charcoal, varnish, and acrylic.
